April 5, 2015 (Lemon Grove) – The Lemon Grove Historical will host a series of events in May and June, including “History Alive” lectures, history essay awards, and a showing of short films from around the world. Below is a full schedule of events scheduled:
May 7 at 7 p.m., "History Alive" lecture in the H. Lee House, 3205 Olive, Lemon Grove with Amanda Heller, head librarian of the Lemon Grove Library, with a discussion of the modern library and its many functions in contemporary society.
June 2 at 6 p.m., 25th Annual Treganza Third Grade History Essay Awards, Community Center, 3140 School Lane, Lemon Grove
June 4 at 7 p.m."History Alive" lecture in the H. Lee House, 3205 Olive, Lemon Grove, with Robert Case and "A Tale of Two Cities," the San Diego and San Francisco expositions of 1915.
June 9 at 6 p.m., Bobby Carroll Eighth Grade History Essay Awards, Lemon Grove Library, 3001 School Lane, Lemon Grove.
June 17 at 6:30 p.m., Film Night in the Library with episodes of "The Short List," groundbreaking, weekly TV series showcasing outstanding short films from around the world. Lemon Grove Library, 3001 School Lane.
